Museum Of The West

One offering of the Museum of Western Colorado is the Museum of the West—a collection of Old West artifacts and exhibits like an actual stagecoach, Anasazi artifacts, Adobe pottery, a 1958 Cessna, a 1921 LaFrance fire truck and a full-size uranium mine. Children and adults alike will enjoy this entertaining and educational attraction. Other attractions that are part of the Museum of Western Colorado are the  Dinosaur Journey Museum in nearby Fruita and the Cross Orchards Historic Site in Grand Junction.

Western Colorado Botanical Gardens offer a tropical greenhouse and butterfly house as well as herb, cactus and rose gardens and an orchid display among its vibrant collection.
